Description:
The historic port of Salem will host the 23rd Annual Antique & Classic Boat Festival, (formerly the Boston Annual Antique & Classic Boat Festival),
on August 20-21, 2005. Classic sailboats, powerboats and hand-powered craft on display to the public range from a 19th century canoe and steam launch to 1920s-40s era mahogany runabouts and cabin cruisers to the comely sail flotilla - sloops and sharpies to yawls and schooners. Meet skippers and crew and vote for your favorite boat! Other highlights include judging (optional), Blessing of the Fleet, a crafts market, antique autos, entertainment and a Grand Parade of Boats in Salem Harbor.

Come and see a diverse display of beautiful antique and classic sailboats, power boats, and hand-powered craft ranging from the 1800'a through the 1960s. Expand your appreciation of our nation's maritime heritage and salute those who are preserving a piece of it! Join the fun, and have a great day with the whole family at the waterfront. EVERYONE IS INVITED!
