Last Weekend of AprilThe spotlight shines on Fort Myers Beach this April with a film festival presented by the Town of Fort Myers Beach. The three-day festival, slated for the last weekend of April each year. This festival will provide movie-goers the opportunity to see quality independent films and to be a part of events designed to cultivate the spirit of visual creativity and harbor the talents of local and upcoming filmmakers.

Lee County's ONLY film festival attracts independent filmmakers, celebrities, and film buffs to The Beach Theater for films, workshops, Kids Fest, and Gala Under the Stars.
Events include a ribbon-cutting at The Beach Theater, the main venue for the selected independent films and a screening on the beach on Friday.
On Saturday, the Town of Fort Myers Beach hosts fun for the whole family when Kid's Day will celebrate the young filmmakers in our area and offer a selection of animated films especially for younger audiences. Kid's Day includes the screening of works by elementary, high school and college students who will have an opportunity to meet with filmmakers, producers, directors, and other film industry professionals.
